panhead fun

Daisy found some weird piece of fur and was walking around with it today. It looked like she had a huge white moustache. It was pretty neat, this is the best picture that I could get.

Here is a picture of my dad and russ from Colorado. We rebuilt Russ's 53 panhead motor and he brought the chassis up so that we could help him put the motor in. Things are usually not as simple as originally intended and we are finding all sorts of little things to sort out on this project. It is all good though and fun to help a friend out.

Here is a picture of The chassis, Russ is thread filing his rear axle sleeve.

Here is a picture of Russ's 56 bottom end that my dad has been plugging away on lately. Russ is a cool guy from Nebraska that makes some neat electric starters for people that cant kick start their old bikes anymore. It is a pretty nifty set up. Check out his website here, http://www.4speedelectricstart.com/index.html

Great news, check it out

I finished fitting up the goo gaw stuff on Jason's 65. What a bunch of work. I am sending it off for paint and chrome now. There are so many parts to these bikes it is over whelming. I am going to weigh this bike when it is done and weigh a 48 at the same time and see what the difference is. Do any of you guys know? We should start a pool. I am guessing it will be a difference of 83 pounds. Please comment below.

I need a turn signal like this. I have three out of the four. Do any of you know where I could find one

I got this nifty front brake set up in the mail today from my friend Mike Javernick. It is a dual cam springer front brake. I am going to put it on my 36 and test it out. I will keep all of yall posted.

My parents, Brittney and I went to Montana to see my little sister graduate college this weekend. College was the worst year of my life, I am so proud of her for accomplishing the huge feat of graduating. Good job Lindsey!!!!

On the way back we went on the Enchanted Highway, The enchanted Highway is basically a road in North Dakota with a bunch of gigantic Steel and Canvas Sculptures on it.

We also stopped in Lemmon South Dakota and checked out the petrified wood forest. This is a pretty amazing site too.

I had a great weekend with the family in Montana. Unfortunately I left my camera at my house, so I can't post pics till tomorrow. Here are some neat ones from the vault. These two pics are for locating the fender light wire hole on a 36to 48 springer front fender
