My dad is putting together flywheels, he has already assembled half a dozen rotating assemblies, these ones are up next. I love seeing stuff like this coming together. 
I spent the morning doing prep work for a bunch of aluminum welding. This is all good stuff. Lots of work! I hope all you guys are having fun on your own projects and getting ready to go for bike rides!
My friend sent me some more pictures of the x motor that i am getting from him. HEre is the cam cover removed and the intake cages and rocker towers. One of the intake cages has a chip in it. It will probably be easier to make a new one than repair this one. I will see when the motor shows up. 
Look at how beautiful the idler gears are! wow. These motors are so neat.

We pulled the 53 out for the first time yesterday. It started right up. I didn't take it for a ride, but Ray and my dad did. We are going to clean it up and take some pictures for a couple different ads, then put the chrome tanks on it. What do you guys think of the new fender gear? 
I installed the front fender light and headlight on Andy's 47 this morning. The bike looks so more finished with these lights on. I will fix up the rear brake, then pull it off the lift to set up the front brake! 
The tip of the fender light cover is 3.25 from the edge of the fender. This is a pretty handy measurement for anyone that is in need of it.

I am plugging away at Andy's bike. Here is a good pic of how the front brake cable should be routed. I should have this bike running soon. I cant wait.
This is a crop dusting plane that is getting re skinned at the airport. This is the type of plane that I want to get some day. I guess the short length of them makes them a handful to fly, they look like so much fun though. I will have a plane by the time I am 35. 
I went through an old file that my dad had since the eighties. This 1932 hd brochure was in it. I had never seen it and thought it was pretty cool. Hope you guys like it.

Yesterday Delmar and I went flying in his 61 cesna. It was so much fun. I love airplanes. They are 20 times better than motorcycles. Here is a shot of my parent's house. 
When people ask me what the terrain in Aberdeen looks like, I tell them that it looks like math paper. Flat and grid like. This picture confirms my description.

We fired up the 52 today. It runs well. There are a few adjustments and things to work on still.
