Here is a pic of sergio and his wife giving me a ride in their 47 ul with a hand made sidecar. sergio has been a me-chan-ic in cuba for forty years. HE is very talented and has a firm grasp on all things mechanical. It was apleasure to meet him


He has a guest book that people from all over the world have signed. He asked mike and I to sign it and leave something in it to mark the page. I had just gotten a issue of Hog Tales Magazine right before I left the states and figured it would be a neat memento to mark the page that I got to sign.

Here is Paul's 37 oil tank. it was cracked in the front because of the frame being busted. The indentations were from the coil brackets rattling on the metal.


Here it is all welded up. I forgot to take a pic of it all sanded down. Pretty interesting deal. this is the first tank that I have seen cracked in this spot.

Oil tank repairs.

I welded on a bunch of oil tank brackets this morning. This is Paul's 37 tank. It is an early tank and the bottom goes down farther than mid 38 and later tanks. So you have to section the back bracket.Here is is tacked in place

Jesse's birthday

It was Jesse's Birthday today so everyone put on a birthday hat.


Here are some cool bushings that we just had made up for our batch of motors and for our friends. They are available in standard,+.005 and plus +010



We also made some good headway on the 65 for Jason. This is coming along great.

Cuban guzzi knucklehead trike project

Whoa man. check out the motor mounts. This is a pretty cool deal and I am excited to see it finished.



Here is a neat pic from Sergio's Living room. He is working on making a neat knucklehead trike with this bull neck frame and russian transmission. I have never seen anything like this before.

post cards, wheels and front ends

I got 35 of these cards from Tedd today. He is opening up a museum in New york on April 16th. There are hundreds of bikes there, unfortunately I will not make it to the grand opening. Mail me a s.a.s.e. at the shops address, and I will send you out one of these post cards that give you a discount on admission. Wish I could be there for the big grand opening, but I have other plans in April.


Ray mounted the tires on the 65 today. They turned out great. We should have a roller sometime this weekend.



I got Paul's 37 fork for straightening today. Check out the lack of reinforcements on the fender tabs. Our 37 is like this too. His serial number is 193x. This is pretty cool detail, and is the latest 37 that I have seen this fork on.

RF 52 update

Here is a pic of randy's 52. I got the outer primary, fender and rear crashbar on today. It looks really nice. I am glad that he wanted black crashbars, they look a lot better than chrome ones.
